How we rate and verify products
Every claim on this site should be checkable. This page explains how, and what we do when we cannot check something.

Missing values
Where a figure has not been recorded, the product shows “Not available”. Only a figure confirmed to be nil shows as ₹0, “Zero balance” or “Lifetime free”.
This distinction runs all the way through the site: a “Lifetime free” filter matches only cards whose joining and annual fees were both verified as nil, never cards whose fee nobody entered.
Ranking and “best” claims
We do not present a ranked “best” list without a written ranking method for that specific page. Category hubs that have no method published show products in a neutral order and make no superlative claim.
In a side-by-side comparison we mark the rows where products differ, and we do not name a winner. Which product is better depends on which of those rows matters to you — and where a figure is missing for any product, a “cheapest” label would be measuring absence rather than price.
Valuing points and miles
Turning a reward point into a rupee figure is a judgement, not a fact. Indian points are worth anywhere from about ₹0.20 as statement credit to well over ₹0.50 transferred to an airline, and only if you can actually use the award. Each reward programme carries a published PaisaKhoj valuation, the basis for it in plain English, and a confidence level.
Where no valuation exists, our tools report the reward in points and say so. They do not fall back on an industry average — an invented rupee figure is worse than an honest “we cannot say”.
Calculators
Every calculation is a pure function with unit tests. Every tool page shows its formula in words, lists the assumptions it applied on your behalf, and states what it does not account for.
Where a tool cannot produce a figure — because the data is missing or the inputs are incomplete — it says so rather than showing a plausible-looking number.
No tool here estimates approval odds, assigns a credit score, or describes any loan as guaranteed. Meeting a lender’s published minimum is a necessary condition for an application, not a probability, and we will not present it as one.
Commercial relationships
Where PaisaKhoj has a commercial relationship with a provider, a disclosure appears next to that provider’s products, not only in the footer. A commercial relationship never changes how a product is ranked, scored or described.
