Common questions
By the card’s own recorded data. A card appears in a category because its recorded terms put it there, and a category lists its cards alphabetically by name, because no approved ranking methodology exists yet. All credit cards opens in Featured order: the cards our editors have marked Featured come first, in the order they set and with a Featured badge, then every other card alphabetically. Featured is an editorial choice, not a rating or a ranking, and you can sort by card name or annual fee instead.
Sometimes. Where a commercial relationship exists we say so next to that product. It affects the application link and the disclosure only — never a SaverScore, never who a card is said to suit, and never the order cards appear in.
Every card records when it was last checked against the issuer’s own documents, and that date is shown on the card. Where a figure has never been recorded the page says so rather than showing a zero.
No. Nothing here runs a credit check. Browsing, comparing and answering the questions leave no trace with any bureau; only an application made with an issuer can do that, and the issuer decides.
